Looking for a different take on classic soups? Try an onion soup with homemade croutons… Here is the recipe :
Ingredients :
(for 4 people)
- 4 onions
- 1 garlic clove
- 50 g of butter
- 1 tablespoon of the oil of your choice
- 1 tablespoon flour (we recommend flour from our partner Henriot)
- litre of water
- 6 slices of Gillotin bread, preferably one you bought a few days ago
- 25 cl of white wine
- Salt
- Pepper
Preparation of the croutons :
- Slice a few pieces of bread.
- Toast them in the oven, toaster or frying pan with a little oil, as you prefer.
- To add flavour to your croutons, rub them with a clove of gar
Preparation of the soup :
- Chop the onions
- Lightly brown them in a frying pan with the oil and butter.
- Add the flour, then the water and wine
- Leave to boil for 20 minutes, covered.
- Pour the soup over the top and sprinkle with more cheese.
- Put the dish in the oven for a few minutes and that’s it!
