In the mood for an easy-to-prepare, gourmet meal? Opt for grilled cheese, a melting cheese sandwich, the ultimate comfort food.
Grilled cheese is like a croque-monsieur, only better, thanks to the amount of cheese added. It’s made with bread, cheese and soft butter, and is ready in 15 minutes!
For this recipe, we recommend using Émile bread, an organic spelt bread made with cereals containing very little gluten, organic flour and mainly local products.
To make your grilled cheese you will need :

- 2 slices of bread
- Soft butter, we recommend using the one from our partner Le Chalet dairy
- 50 g of cheddar cheese
- A few slices of bacon or smoked bacon, as you like. We recommend using the products of our partner Un groin de Paradis.
Preparation :
- Grill a few slices of bacon or smoked bacon in a hot pan.
- Butter both slices of bread on all sides.
- Cut the cheddar into thicker or thinner slices, as you prefer.
- Place them on the slices of bread.
- Fold the two slices together like a sandwich.
- Place the sandwich in the same pan as the meat and heat over a medium heat to melt the cheese.
